UPDATED STORY: Josephine is now graduated from high school and started college. She has thrived at Seeds, like so many of our kids; her life now has hope and a chance at a great future. Without sponsorship she would never been able to attend college like she is now. That said, her original sponsor has had some changes and needed to drop Josephine's sponsorship, so we're looking for a new sponsor as she goes through college for the next 2 to 3 years. Are you that person who could write her an encouraging letter now and then? It won't take much to help encourage her that she's so close and she can fulfill her dreams. Consider sponsoring Josephine today, you'll make a huge impact in her life.

ORIGINAL STORY: Meet Josephine... she's 10 and just been rescued from a horrible situation. Josephine, along with her older sister and brother were suffering horrible things at the hand of a neighbor. They lost their mom to a long battle with stomach cancer and it appears that the grief of that loss caused their father to become mentally ill and unable to function. Josephine found that even a basic need like food was not easy to find. The situation with the neighbor was reported to our partners at Seed's Children's Home. They immediately went to check on the family - finding the story to be true they decided to take Josephine and her siblings to the local Children's office in Kitale. They were granted custody and moved all three of them into the children's home even without sponsors.

So we are now looking for a sponsor for Josephine - to ensure her of a way to step into a better future. She will now have a chance to go to school and have all her basic needs met including food, a place to live, and medical care. This little girls needs someone to step up and be her sponsor, to send her letters and help her understand that her life matters. Can you be that person for Josephine?
