Cynthia Omanyala is currently sponsored by Deborah, K. from Shelby Twp, MI. Thank you Deborah.

This is Cynthia, she's just 6 years old and has already lived a life time filled with hardship, more that she deserves.

Our partners from Seed's Children's Home were contacted by someone that was really concerned about her and her siblings. She lost his father 3 years ago, and now her mom is very sick with HIV AIDS. Cynthia had been seen begging food from the neighbors and taking their empty plates and licking them clean. Her mom is so sick now that she has been unable to feed her, and her 8 year old brother Mark has been trying to help - but hunger has been her constant companion.

When our partners met the children and their mom it was obvious they needed to act right away, there was not time for the formal request and confirmation of a sponsor. Cynthia and her siblings needed to go to the Children's Home now. Their's is one of those emergency situations that we at Mighty Acorn try to make ourselves available for, committing to find a sponsor in these special situations when time won't allow for the child to wait and they need immediate help.

So, Cynthia is already at Seed's, in a safe place where she can count on receiving meals every day. Her normal is changing - now we need to find her a sponsor. Someone to connect with her, to let her know life is getting better and she matters. Would you be willing to sponsor her,  sending her letters of encouragement as she goes through this major change, your love will make a huge difference.
