UPDATE: Sezin has change so much since coming to Seed's. At first he showed a lot of anger and resentment. Over the last couple of years we have seen a huge change in him. He has become much friendlier - we enjoy spending time with him while we are there. He's become quite the big tease and loves to make us laugh. We have high hopes for him as he continues to work his way through school, even with the late start. Sezin needs a new sponsor - we are hoping for someone that will send him a letter now and them. Letting him know how important he is and that his life matters. Would you be able to sponsor him?

ORIGINAL STORY: Sezin is the younger brother to one of our sponsored girls. His sister Rose was sponsored in September and has already moved into the children's home. In Rose's story we mentioned she had several siblings and that there was an abusive step-dad in their lives. It was Rose's sponsor that asked if the Mighty Acorn Foundation could "go check on them". Upon inquiring, our partners at Seed's Ministries discovered that Rose had been the primary caregiver to the family. The email we received said, "We need to find sponsorships because the situation is not good with those children."

While we had a team there in November, we took Rose with us to visit her siblings when we arrived, the "home" was a mess and Sezin, who has just turned 14 was very sick. He was running a very high fever and sweating terribly. His mom was there but smelled of alcohol and it was obvious she wasn't able to provide very well for the family.

Our partners saw to it that Sezin was taken to the doctor and treated. Thankfully, we've received news he is recovering well.

Sezin is not currently going to school because there is no money for his education and spends his days helping watch after his two little sisters. Under the circumstances we were unable to go through our normal interview and photo process so we are yet to discover the things he likes and what he dreams of being one day. But we think it is safe to say he very much desires to live in a safe place and go to school not worried whether he will have enough to eat today or if his step-dad will return home angry. We need a sponsor who will reach out to this little guy and let him know there are people out there that love and believe in him. Can you help Sezin?
