UPDATE: Belinda is now 18 years old and in Form 4 - or as we would say, a senior in High School. She has thrived living at Seed's since she was 8. Life has been much better and she has made the most of the chance to be out of the slum and go to school, knowing there are many others that have not received the same chance she has. Belinda hopes to go on to college and become a teacher so she can help others children like she has been helped. Her marks are really good and we believe her dream will be able to come true. Right now we are in need of a new sponsor for Belinda. We would love to connect her with a great sponsor that will connect with her through letters, letting her know she is valued and loved. Are you that person that will come along side her?

ORIGINAL STORY: Little Belinda is the younger sister of Barbara. Belinda wants to grow up to be a doctor. Together, Belinda and Barbara tell us of their struggles and how their grandmother is unable to provide properly for them. They live in a hut made out of grass on a farm where the grandmother works. Belinda's grandmother cannot provide food and makes only a small amount of money, yet both Belinda and Barbara help their grandmother work from time to time in order to earn extra money. It is clear that Belinda and Barbara are close to one another and want to remain together. They both pray that they might some day live in the orphanage.
