UPDATED STORY: Patrick has really thrived since coming to Seed's Children's Home. He is so thankful for the direction his life has taken through sponsorship. Patrick graduated from high school last December and is now ready to head off to college. He'll be studying Agricultural Engineering, a very promising course with many opportunities for employment after he has his degree. He's so excited about this new chapter of life, and with his determination, we know he will do well. We love Patrick, he has a very warm personality and is super engaging in conversation. He's also a fierce competitor on the football field, he also loves volleyball and badminton. We're looking for a new sponsor for Patrick. His former sponsor helped him through high school, but with family changes needed to discontinue his sponsorship. We'd love to find a sponsor that would walk along side him through his college days; and maybe even visit him in Kenya. ORIGINAL STORY: Meet Patrick... he's been living the last several years with his siblings and his elderly grandmother in the Kipsongo slum. Both his mom and dad are no longer living and grandma has been doing her best to care for all four children. Over the last few months grandma has gotten to ill to be able to care for the children. This has caused Patrick to need to pick through trash and beg for food. Sometimes his older sister is able to get a little work helping as a laborer but things have gotten almost impossible for them.
We have been asked to find a sponsor for Patrick. We are hoping for someone that can come alongside this young man and help him be restored. Someone who will send a letter or email now and then letting him know his life as value and there are others that are willing to help him.
