Hmm - precious little Dolifine, at 8 years old her life has been recently torn apart by tragedy. She and her 5 brothers were doing well, with both parents caring for them. Living in a small one room home with a thatched roof and a small patch of banana trees planted outside. Her dad had worked hard so they could own this 500 sq ft piece of land and he kept working hard to support his family... until one horrible day - he lost his life at the hands of a neighbor. His death sent her mom into shock to the point of her being unresponsive to her children and friends. Dolifine not only lost her dad that day but her mom as well.
It's been 6 very difficult months since then, food has been very scarce, her clothes look like they haven't been cleaned for at least that long, she has no shoes on her feet - but somehow she still has a smile on her face.
We so want to help restore this little one to a life of hope and safety, where she doesn't have to wonder if she will have food to eat, clean water to drink and she can go to school.
