Meet our new friend Baraka. His name means Blessing. He's 13 years old and came to Seed's earlier this year. We have waited a little longer before seeking a sponsor for this young man because of his family situation, hoping he would settle in well at Seeds. Baraka is amazing and we've fallen totally in love with him. His family background is a tough one. He comes from a rural area near Mt Elgon. His parents separated and he was left in the care of his homeless drunken father. Someone from the area realized Baraka was in trouble, with no one helping him with even his basic needs like food, clothing or schooling. This family stepped in and helped him until he could be placed in a children's home. Our Seed's family said yes to him calling Seed's his home - and Baraka couldn't be more happy about it. He says he feels safe and is thankful for the chance to go to school. We are looking for a sponsor to come alongside Baraka.
